Restructured is an AI-powered document automation platform built by Kolena that converts unstructured data — PDFs, presentations, emails, images, audio, and video — into structured, spreadsheet-like outputs with field-level source citations. It was launched in beta in early 2025 as Kolena's flagship product pivot beyond its original AI model testing roots. The platform deploys AI agents that read documents of any format, apply a user-defined rubric, reason across related documents, and return structured data where every extracted figure is traceable to the exact clause, line, or page that justified it. This produces a full audit trail, which is critical for regulated industries. It combines retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, natural language processing, and multimodal large language models to handle diverse source formats. Restructured is purpose-built for high-document-volume industries: commercial real estate (lease abstraction, rent-roll reconciliation), lending and banking (loan-file review, UCC review, bank-statement analysis), insurance (FNOL intake, claims processing), and financial services (IC memo and data-room analysis). It is also used for legal contract review and corporate knowledge management. The platform can be deployed as SaaS or on-premises and is SOC 2 Type II certified, with onshore processing and a no-training-on-customer-data policy. Structured output integrates with existing analytics and reporting stacks via flexible connectors. Kolena raised $18.1M in funding in July 2023 led by Lobby Capital, and as of 2025-2026 is actively expanding Restructured into enterprise workflows.
